Non Scale Victories and A Fitness Tip

Every so often I have my clients do update pictures to see where their progress is. As I’ve shared before that’s one of the best ways to see where progress is being made and where were still may need to be done.

The other day I checked in with one of my clients to see how they were doing after our make it right get it tight workout session the day prior and their response was

“ Hey Crystal! SORE, but I’m moving. I had a non-scale victory one of my shirts that was tight on my back is not anymore.”

They are so many non-scale victories people can use to let them know they are going to right direction rather than stepping on the scale and the scale not telling them anything other than a number.

Please understand me clearly, even if the scale number did not read the number you hoped for at that moment in your journey yet you’ve noticed difference that has benefited your life since you started your journey then that should definitely outshine what the  number reads. Yes I know the “But I just wish that….” Recondition your mind to learn how to accept The good things that are happening to you even if they’re small and not allowing the scale to steal your joy. Yes it’s an added bonus if the scale number reads what you want it to but remember overall health is the ultimate no matter what The scale me read. If you’re not feeling healthy even if the scale reads a happy number for you that’s still an issue.

Here are some re-focus ways you can go through your journey to know you are still heading the right direction with your health and fitness plan

You realize that you’re becoming more conscious of your habits and have created healthier ones more days than bad days.

Your shirts: fits loose or either around your shoulders arms mid back and or torso

Your pants: The Pants are getting bigger in your waist line is getting smaller. Maybe your thighs or butt isn’t as snug.

You completed a work out faster

You have more energy to do more things throughout the day

You’re more focused and aware

It’s easier to lift things that once was a struggle

You are able to tie your shoes with doing the Figure 4 approach

Your doctors visits and results are better

You are a happier person

These are just some of many non-scale victories that you should not take for granted.
