KIDS, PATIENCE, FOOD

Learned (especially my husband lol) that kids will come around on their own time when it comes to choices. Trying to force them to eat certain foods or when to eat. HEY! They are just as human as us, just smaller and younger. When we aren’t hungry we…we don’t eat. If there is something we don’t care for…we wont eat it.

Eventually (but not always) we come around, and start opening ourselves to variety. Same goes for kids. I have gone through so many stages with Rey and Bubs when it comes to food, working with a 4 and 2 year old, as I know other parents have. Its all in patience. I know we want what’s best for our kids, but what is also best for them is for us to give them that patience, otherwise they will resent it.

Really, when you least expect it, that’s when they open up.

Fruits and veggies were the most difficult for them to open up to, but as time passes, they start asking.

Rey loves and asks for cheese sticks, blueberries, apples, oranges, corn, green beans, and occasionally broccoli)

Bubs loves and asks for yogurt, cheese sticks, bananas, oranges, apples, cereal bars (still working on most veggies)
